Zeph 3:17 (ESV)

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

After several months of prayer for the friends we have made during our internship, asking the Lord to connect them to other believers who could continue to witness to them after Dora and I had completed our time here, God showed us that He is the one who puts those prayers in our heart and He is faithful to answer.

Two friends for whom I specifically felt the need for more connections, both came to me at the Buckeye Village picnic and asked how they could get connected to other IFI staff and volunteers. Wow! Isn’t God incredible?! I was amazed at His timing and the work He has done in our friend’s hearts.

One of our friends ended up visiting a Friday night group for several weeks and the other later expressed interest in coming to the monthly Indian worship gatherings. Again what an amazing answer to prayer and evidence of God’s work in people’s hearts. From being spiritually disinterested to actually asking to come to our meetings, only our God who is “mighty to save” could accomplish such a great work (Zeph 3:17).

Praise God for using us and allow us to share in the joy of seeing His lost children come to find their identity in Him. I praise God for the good work He has begun in our friend’s hearts and pray that He will bring His work to completion for the displaying of His glory among the nations. May every obstacle that is in their hearts be removed. May Satan’s work and lies be destroyed so Christ may take hold of them. May they be instruments used for His glory and honor and may we together worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit before the throne of our everlasting God.
