God always busy and works in all people’s life.

All ISEEDers and Mike start to gather once a week for dinner and prayer. Though everyone is busy with many things, we still committed every Monday night to meet together. I remember the first time we get together to share and pray about the student’s spiritual status who we are in one on one relationship with. Before, I always pray by myself or in a group of two or three for both people around me and unsaved friends. It was my first time to pray together, pray for those around me but I haven’t had chance to meet them face to face. This remembered me that it is God’s work in the world but not me. Prayer should not depend on whether I know people personally. I realize sometimes I still depend on my feeling when I cannot see or experience God’s work on those I don’t know. I feel I should pray about trusting God more in his work which I can’t see.

In one of our Friday night bible discussion group, we discussed about Abram and his wife tried to escape the famine by entering Egypt. Abram persuaded Sara to saying she was his sister instead of his wife. Here I really saw human nature: Trying to solve problem using their own way. I shared the story with my parents on phone after the discussion. Though my dad left at the middle of the conversation for work, my mom heard all the story. I told them that we as human always believe what we see but not on God’s word. Abram got the promise from God, but when he saw the famine in promise land, he escaped. She expressed understanding the reason that Abram did so, though she still showed little interest in knowing my God. However, they showed interests in learning more about the stories in bible and my life witness for God. I am praying for them opening their hearts in February’s trip when I’ll meet them in person.
