LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. —Psalm 30:2

At the end of 2019, IFI organized a trip down to Geogia for Vision Conference which is hold by Bridges International. Vision Conference is a event mainly for international students who study in the States to experience personal growth, global community, and spiritual conversations. When I was in college, I went to Vision Conference twice already. The reason why I wanted to come back again and again is because I saw God’s great work in and through this Conference. And also, me myself.

I was very looking forward to this conference since December started, however, at the same time, I had a lot of fears. Last year one week before the same conference, I had an intense broke up with my ex-boyfriend…and during the conference, there was more hurtful things happen…all these memories were just like a hungry lion which can devour me anytime.  The week before the conference, I was so in so much pain because all those past memories.  The day before we leave, I was at work and at one point all the sudden, I cannot stop crying because all the flashback just come into my mind for no reason. At that moment, I realized that I cannot keep my focus on work, so I  stopped all the things I was doing and started praying. Meanwhile, I sent messages to asked my friends who knew all the stories to pray for me. After praying for a while, I felt much better and ready to go back to work, hoping to finish all the work I have left as soon as possible. Then, I met a customer, she was not like the other customers that I have served. She asked me a lot of questions about me and showed me lots of hospitality. When I was about to finished the service, she asked me to wait for a second, then she brought up a nicely wrapped bag and gave it to me, ” This is a Christmas gift for you, wish you all the best in the States!” At that moment, I was really surprised and I couldn’t believe it— Really? She gave a gift to a pest control technician that she just met?  At the same time, I felt so much warmth and loved. I couldn’t stopping crying again, this time, it was for joy.  Deep in my heart I knew that, this happened was because of  God. He used that lady and the gift to comfort me, which was incredible!

It is a life journey to experience God’s healing power. I am on the way, and looking forward to experiencing more and more everyday.
