“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
April has been the crazy month by far in this year. Yet, God is always faithful and will always be faithful in reaching out to us and also to teach us His ways for us to equip Him much better and depend on Him more.
First coming to my job with the IFI. Wow, I have enjoyed my best time in IFI by far only in this month though it was hectic. The reason is because I just love my job and that is reaching out to the students in sharing the gospel.
HOLI Party
Starting off with the HOLI party. IFI has pulled off it’s first HOLI party for the Indian students here in Columbus, Ohio in a tremendous way where we were able to see just the positive vibes from everyone who showed up to the party. I’m blessed and honored to be in the very first HOLI event from IFI as one of the main event coordinator. I have been under pressure but I loved every moment being under it because that’s when it brings the best in you. God was so faithful to me even though when I’m not faithful to Him. God has a plan for every one of us. Many people go through life without ever thinking about it, but that doesn’t change the fact that God put us here for a purpose. We aren’t here by accident; we’re here because God put us here. And He put us here for a reason—so we could come to know Him in a personal way, and then live the way He wants us to live. When IFI asked me to coordinate this event, I was like, I didn’t know anything here because I’m new to this place. But you have a God who already was here before I was here. I asked God, “God, you know what I’m going through right now. Believe me, I can’t do this alone. I can’t do anything alone. I need you and I want you. I can do anything when I have you by my side. I want you to take my hand and lead me according to your will that will impact the lives of the people for your kingdom. Into your hands, I submit my life and will. Take control of this HOLI event.” God started to show in a miraculous way, where I was able to do the work in His strength. God gave me the opportunity to reach out to many Indian students on that day. I know for sure in my heart that this wouldn’t be possible if it’s not for God. Only His will was done.
Sat-sung (Madhav on God’s will/purpose)
Sat-sung is one of those times where you feel that you are in India. It brings the tastes, culture, and Indian nature of worship. I have been going to sat-sung for 4 months now. God has given me an opportunity to make some good Indian friends. And He has also given me an opportunity to reach out to the unbelievers fro Hindu background. Trust me, dealing with Hindus is never an easy task. Dealing with Muslims is much better than Hindus. The reason I said that because there beliefs are unreal, yet they believe them so blindly. Madhav is one of those people who really want to know about other religions. Madhav has been going to sat-sung for quite sometime now. But Holy Spirit guided me to talk to Madhav in our first meeting at sat-sung. He has many good questions to ask. Before I talk to Madhav, I always say a small prayer in my heart and that is “God I want you to take control of the full conversation that I’m going to have with him. Let alone your will be done and let alone the Holy Spirit talk through me.” This month Madhav and I had a good conversation for about an hour. Before our discussion we discussed in the bible study about the death/resurrection/ and purpose of God to this world. That really caught Madhav’s attention. He really wants to know what’s God’s will and purpose for His life. The Holy Spirit straight away lead me to the article that I read a day before about Billy Graham’s article on God’s will. I straight away talked to him saying that, “this is the greatest discovery you will ever make: You were created to know God and to be His friend forever. God not only has a general purpose for each of us, but He also has a specific plan for each of our lives. God knows all about you, and He has a plan for you. That’s why you can pray and seek God’s will when you face decisions, and it is why you can know God is with you every moment of the day. The Bible says, “Teach me your way, O Lord; lead me in a straight path”” (Psalm 27:11) To know God’s will, you must first know God Himself. You can do that by committing your life to Jesus Christ, who was God in human flesh. Christ came to earth to show us what God is like and save us from our sins, and once you accept Him into your heart, you are a child of God! You can know God’s specific will for your life. He was so touched by what I discussed with him from that article. It was so amazing that he said he wanted to spend more time in knowing God. His will comes first.
IFI banquet
My first banquet with IFI where I just saw God’s own people come from different parts of the regions to fund money to the IFI. All I saw is God’s faithfulness towards the IFI. I’m pretty sure I did nothing at the banquet but I was praying the whole time for the banquet to be successful and was also praying to lift up some sponsors for me personally if it is His will for me to stay here longer working for IFI. God’s will, will always be the first in line.
Knowing God’s will can give you peace in the midst of suffering and everyday trials. When you are in constant fellowship with God, He will lead you in the fulfillment of His plan.
