“ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Last month I was touched by Holy Spirit and had a thought came in my mind. I wanted to continue praying for one month with my sincere heart. Not like the usual prayers I did while I was driving or working on something else. I needed to arrange a specific time prayed only for students and friends. Therefore, I took the initiative to ask students and friends about their worries and expectations. I understood God wouldn’t fulfill all of their prospects. Instead, God would lead them to Jesus and provide the best solutions for them.

I told my friends what I was going to do and asked about their prayer requests. I told them to tell me the results or changes after a month. I was astounded by their responses.  One of the students requested me to pray for convincing her to believe in Jesus and making her heart tender so that she could become a believer. In addition, one of my friends said he could also pray for me. He wanted to pray for me specifically and continued praying a month even though he didn’t meditate God’s word very often. Another student needed to be recovered from a broken relationship. There are so many things that are unpredictable and cannot be controlled. He wanted God to let him forgot that sorrowful memory. What I replied to him was that he would remember what has happened but this incident would not bother him anymore. He will not be painful and know how to handle such things. I prayed for the healing coming to him and he will be able to know Jesus. He will gain great comfort and peace from Jesus. Praised to the Lord, I knew their thoughts and their needs because of Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit gave me the courage to ask about their prayers requests thus I could know their status and the sorrows they had. God revealed me that humans always have needs on both spiritual and physical.  I thank God explored a new way for me to know more about my friends and students.

Besides, God made used of this opportunity to guide me for praying faithfully. There were ten people I need to pray for. Therefore, I spent at least 30 minutes a day bowing my knee and prayed for their requests. Although I didn’t bow my knee every time when I prayed, I would still organize a quiet time for God. He is a great organizer who leverages every opportunity to lead people towards him. He guided me to pray more while he let people know there is a caring God who loves them so much.
