There was a big thing happened on April 29th. It was Sunday afternoon. Connie and I planned to go to Costco for grocery shopping. I was driving the car and went to the Exit to Costco on highway I-71. Suddenly, the car in front of us stopped. I break very hard and I stopped. I can hear the sound which we usually saw in the movie. I saw from the mirror that the car behind me probably can’t stop. I was very anxious and I know there would be an accident, but I can’t turn to another line. After 1 second, the car behind us hit us directly. Connie and I were both shocked, the coke in my car spilled all over. My brain was blank and I had no idea about what I should do. I drove to the emergency line and the car who hit us also drove to there. Then, Connie and I went to check my car. We were surprised because my car didn’t damage as badly as we thought. We praised the Lord. Thank God that we are not injured. We believe that God protected us when the car hit us. The girl who hit our car got bruises on both of her arms since the airbag in her car was exploited, but thank God it was not too bad.We believe that God protected us when the car hit us. The girl apologized to us and gave her insurance information. But, I didn’t check her insurance card because I saw there were a lot of information in, so I thought her phone number must be in there. Connie offered her a ride before we left because her car was damaged so badly, but our car can still drive. The girl thanked us but she said she can drive herself.
Connie and I drove to the nearest parking lot off the highway. I wanted to stop there because everything happened so fast. I need time to calm down. We parked in a fast-food parking lot. Connie contacted our friend V. We shared with V what happened and asked him what shall we do now? V was so nice, he drove to the parking lot to find us and helped me check my car immediately after our call.
After that, we found that the insurance card which the girl gave me didn’t have her phone number. I forgot to ask for her number. I forgot to take a picture of her license, either. I don’t know what to do. We prayed that hope that girl can cooperate with us to solve the problem. We went back home. I received a message from that girl. She contacted me, apologized again and was willing to start solving the problem. Connie and I were very happy about the message.
In the whole process, we experienced God’s love, mercy, and protection. I knew God protected us when the accident happened because my mind was blank after the hit. I didn’t know how to respond to the accident, but God guided me to do the right response. He led me not to make quick turns on the highway which is much more dangerous. He also helped and comforted us through friends after the accident. V came to find us and helped us. Many friends called and prayed for Connie and me. We both experienced God’s love more deeply. I believe God is always with us from my heart even sometimes we don’t feel.
