The new semester always come with a lot of new vivid lives. They are fresh here and even kind of afraid of this brand new environment. They are excited but cautious. Even though their hearts can only be working by the Holy Spirit, we can do invitation and help.

I have a friend who is a new graduate student in OSU and he went into a dilemma because of his new apartment. I was helping him move to his new apartment on one Friday afternoon. When he arrived there, he was shocked by his roommate’s bad hygiene and different work and rest schedule. I can feel he was too upset to do anything at that time but I still invite him to our bible discussion that night and encourage him finding help from others in our group. A lot of people gave him advice on how to sublease his apartment and comfort him. I was expecting a week to go for solving this problem but God’s love so so deep to us. The next morning, I received the message from him said that he wants to acknowledge Jesus as the true God because of his apartment sublease successfully after he pray hardly. And it only takes a night! Then, I helped him find a new place to live for the rest of the semester in the same day! All praise the Lord!

The other one I really want to share is a girl I knew from helping selling some home goods for my classmates. I left a IFI Welcome Brochures and invite her to our Friday night gathering after the transaction even though we didn’t have a chance to see each others. She replied me that she found our gathering is discussing about bible which is a religious event and she is really afraid of involving in these things so that she refused my invitation. I was a little bit upset about how her attitude changed so fast only because of hearing about bible. We had no more talking until involvement fair she saw me in person at IFI table and she texted me that night with joy recognized me immediately from picture to person and I seize the opportunity to invite her to our welcome party. Surprisingly, after the welcome party she said that she wrote a “thank you card” to me and she is willing to visit our Friday night bible discussion! I was amazed again and again by how holy spirit works on people’s hearts by himself!

All of these remind me of the sowing session, we need to prepare ourselves to spread the seeds so that holy spirit can work on these seeds by himself.
