My first real taste of the love and mercy of God came when I was in high school. I concluded right away that I wanted to share that love with as many other people as I was able. After growing up in Columbus, I began university in Cincinnati, but moved to Columbus and The Ohio State University after a year to learn to do non-professional ministry. I married Carolyn in Columbus, and we joined a church-plant team, moving back to Cincinnati in 1989, where we still live after 30 years. We have raised three children – Lauren, David, and Jennifer – here in Cincinnati.
My introduction into working with internationals occurred first in Columbus, where two of my roommates were brothers who were refugees from SE Asia. In Cincinnati, I participated in a Chinese-English Bible study, and eventually volunteered for IFI in different capacities over the 30 years we have been here.
I started a business in 2002 to allow more flexibility in my schedule to be involved in ministry, and now, 13 years later have decided to devote my life full time to doing international ministry with IFI, where I am the City Director of a well-established ministry in Cincinnati.
