1. What has changed?
   IFI renamed our Annual Fund to the National Ministry Fund on March 1, 2023.
2. What has NOT changed?
   This fund renaming does not change IFI’s mission to share life-changing hospitality and friendship with international students out of reverence for Jesus.
3. Why now?
   When we began our ministry in 1979, we were focused only on international students at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Over the past decade, we have expanded to over 43 US college campuses. This name change reflects the national expansion of our ministry.
4. Why is this important?
   We are committed to transparency and clarity to our donors; therefore, we want donors to better understand how their generous gifts are making a difference. Renaming our Annual Fund is one additional step we take to stay accountable and above reproach.
5. How do I know if I have been giving to the Annual Fund?
   IFI sends receipts for each donation, either via email or by printed mail, unless you have specifically asked to only get a receipt at year-end. These receipts confirm the designation of your gift(s). Please check if your donation receipt reads “IFI Annual Fund” to confirm. If you are not receiving donation receipts via email or printed mail and would like to, please contact our accounting team: or (614) 294-2434.
6. I give monthly to the Annual Fund. Do I need to change anything?
   If you would like to continue your support, you do not need to change anything. Your donations will automatically go into IFI’s National Ministry Fund. Starting March 1, 2023, your donation receipts will read “National Ministry Fund” instead of “IFI Annual Fund.”
7. What will happen if I give to the Annual Fund in the future?
   Any future gifts designated to the Annual Fund will automatically go to the National Ministry Fund. Gifts given to IFI without any designation (e.g. blank memo line) will also go to the National Ministry Fund to support the overall mission.
8. I’d like to switch my giving from the Annual Fund to a local IFI ministry or staff person’s ministry. How can I do that?
   Please follow the steps below depending on your method of giving:
   • Check: write in the memo line where you’d like your gift to be directed (e.g. “City, State ministry” or “John Smith’s ministry”)
   • Credit/debit card: Click here to enter your email address and manage your giving plan. To change giving from the Annual Fund to another part of IFI’s ministry, you will need to cancel your Annual Fund giving plan using the link above. Then, use IFI’s giving webpage to find a local ministry, staff member or project you’d like to support and start a new credit card giving plan.
   • EFT/Bank withdrawal: Send an email to to request that your monthly gift be changed from the Annual Fund to a specific ministry location, staff member, or project.
9. My church gives regularly to the Annual Fund. What should I tell them?
   Please share this webpage with your church’s finance team so they can update their gift designation from “IFI Annual Fund” to “National Ministry Fund” or another designation of their choice.
10. I’d like to give a new gift to the Annual Fund (now: National Ministry Fund). How can I do that?
