My first real taste of the love and mercy of God came when I was in high school. I concluded right away that I wanted to be able to share that love with as many other people as I was able. After growing up in Columbus, I began university in Cincinnati, but moved to Columbus and Ohio State after a year to learn to do non-professional ministry. I married Carolyn in Columbus, and we joined a church plant team, moving back to Cincinnati in 1989, where we still live after 30 years. We raised three children, Lauren, David, and Jennifer here in Cincinnati.
My introduction into working with internationals occurred first in Columbus, where two of my roommates were brothers who were refugees from SE Asia. In Cincinnati, I participated in a Chinese English Bible study, and eventually volunteered for IFI in different capacities over the 30 years we have been here.
I started a business in 2002 to allow me more flexibility in my schedule to be involved in ministry, and now 13 years later have decided that I want to devote my life full time to doing international ministry with IFI, where I am transitioning to the City Director role in a ministry that is well established in Cincinnati.
