Originating from Omaha Nebraska, Benjamin B. Brand has been serving in ministry for over 10 years. Beginning as a youth ministry intern at a small Church in Kentucky, he went on to attend Kentucky Christian University as a Ministry Student. While there he went on service trips to both Northern Ireland and Haiti, where he got his first real experience working and ministering to people from very distinct cultures from his own and discovered a love of international travel and cross-cultural service. He spent his summers working at church camps in Kentucky and Indiana where he learned how to minister on 2 hours of sleep and teach the gospel to people with little to no church background.
Late in his academic career he interned at New International, a global missions organization. He spent his first month with them in Newcastle, Australia working with university students and at a local church plant. After relocating to the organization’s HQ in Florida, he spent the next 5 months writing content and recruiting students for future mission trips. Here he learned to work with a team and use social media as a ministry tool.
After graduating with a degree in Bible as well as a degree in Ministry with emphasis in both Christian Leadership and Global Missions, he was hired by IFI and has been there ever since. He is currently serving as Online Cross-Cultural Minister, where he will help the organization expand its online presence and connect international students with both IFI itself as well as with local churches in IFI’s network. He will also help to develop the campus ministers in the organization to learn to use the great ministry resource of social media to continue and expand their amazing work with international students.
Benjamin is so thankful to an amazing support team who have helped him in past ministry ventures and continue to support his current ministry. He is currently seeking to raise his full salary so that he can serve the nations full time. Monthly gifts are preferred, but all gifts are welcome.
- For God to use me to connect international students with those who care about them.
- For God to work in the hearts of the students I connect with in a big way.
- For God to help me as I reach across cultural boundaries and overcome my own inherent biases.
- That God would supply my every need so that I can focus on my ministry and life.
